Kicking off a strong 2026 with our CAG!

Last week we held our first CAG meeting for the year. Facilitated by our Chair, Dr Cynthia Townley, the session brought together passionate community representatives and TasNetworks to help shape the future of Tasmania’s electricity network.

These conversations ensure our customers’ voices remain front and centre in every decision we make.

What we explored together:

🔹 The next 10–15 years – the key challenges we’ll need to balance and what this means for future customers with Jessica Rae

🔹 Customer segmentation – building a deeper understanding of our residential and business customers, and discussing equity, affordability and changing customer needs with Adam Hinds

🔹 Trade-offs and priorities – testing how we deliver safe, reliable and sustainable electricity into the future with Andrew Strikis

🔹 How pricing works in Tassie – unpacking revenue determinations, annual pricing proposals and how we’re regulated with Billy Godwin

🔹 Community Resilience Ambassadors – defining the purpose, expectations and value of this new program with Andrew Mansfield and Louise Baring

🔹 Bright Futures Fund – the North West Transmission Development Bright Futures Fund: $10 million committed to creating a positive and lasting legacy for communities located within the NWTD project area with Leesa Butler and Kristin Raw

Another highlight was welcoming members of our Board and Executive team - Chantal Hopwood, Renee Anderson, Andrew Davis, Michael Westenberg - (GAICD), Richie Sheather, Kathy Schaefer PSM, Naomi Walsh FCA FAICD, Nick Fleming FTSE GAICD and Roger Gill - who joined the CAG for lunch.

These informal conversations matter. They create space for direct dialogue, shared understanding and stronger alignment between governance, leadership and community voices.

A huge thank you to our CAG members for your insight, curiosity and constructive challenge. We’re looking forward to another impactful year working together ⚡
