Transparency Co-design Workshop

On 27 August 2026, we brought together members of our key advisory groups and our people for a Transparency Co-design Workshop, an important next step in our work to strengthen transparency, accountability and trust.
This included our Stakeholder & Customer Advisory Groups, NWTD Stakeholder Liaison Group and the Tarif Design Working Groups. The workshop built on feedback we have heard through our Transparency, Accountability and Collaboration review.
Importantly, people told us they want to move beyond simply being consulted or informed towards more meaningful opportunities to contribute and co-design.
So, rather than developing our response behind closed doors, we invited stakeholders to help us shape it.
Together, participants worked through the vision, values and principles that should underpin a new Transparency, Accountability and Collaboration Charter for TasNetworks.
A shared vision emerged - All Tasmanians are at the heart of our decisions. Together, we act transparently with courage and integrity, building confidence and trust to shape an equitable energy future.
The conversations throughout the day reinforced that transparency sometimes requires courage – the courage to have difficult conversations, challenge thinking, acknowledge where things haven’t worked and be open about the things we cannot change.
Thank you to everyone who contributed so openly and constructively. By developing this together, we can build an approach that holds us to a higher standard and helps strengthen confidence and trust in the decisions we make on behalf of Tasmania.
Our next task is to take the outcomes from the day and further develop the Transparency, Accountability and Collaboration Charter, including the practical commitments that will sit beneath it.
