Our first meeting for 2026!

Last week, we held our first Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) meeting for 2026. Chaired by Dr Jill Cainey MBE, the session brought together SAG members to explore some of the most important questions shaping our network over the next 10–15 years. The session included:
- CEO + Executive Q&A: We opened with a candid discussion with CEO Seán Mc Goldrick and members of the Executive team Renee Anderson, Michael Westenberg - (GAICD), Chantal Hopwood and Richard Sheather. Topics ranged from performance, regulatory developments, and the broader operating environment.
- North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) update: Our team shared an update on the Australian Energy Regulator’s final decision, what it means for Tasmanian customers, and the current status of the project.
- The Future of The Network: Facilitated by Jessica Rae, we considered the long-term strategic context, the challenges we need to balance, and how the ‘future customer’ may evolve as expectations, technology and energy use continue to change.
- Delivering safe and sustainable electricity: A robust discussion, led by Andrew Strikis, on key trade‑offs in the upcoming Revenue Reset, including reliability, resilience and how we prioritise investments to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
These sessions are about more than updates. They’re an opportunity to test assumptions, challenge our thinking, and ensure customer and stakeholder perspectives are embedded early in decision‑making. A huge thank you to our SAG members for your thoughtful questions, advice and ongoing commitment.
