Our free electrical safety in schools program aims to reach 10,000 primary-school aged kids across Tassie per year and educate them about the safe use of electricity.
Trained presenters deliver interactive sessions tailored to children (kindergarten to grade 6) that run for a minimum of 45 minutes.
We also have available a suite of online resources aligned to the school curriculum to further support teachers and parents who may be home schooling.
Since 2015, we have presented to 280 schools and a total of 56,541 students!

Congratulations to all Tasmanian youngsters who’ve led the charge on electrical safety.
The seven students pictured are the worthy prize winners from TasNetworks’ Electrical Safety Week poster competition.
We got lots of outstanding entries covering all the key safety messages, including “Don’t play near power-lines” and “Water and electricity don’t mix”.
Electrical Safety Week ran from 7 to 11 September. Well done to everyone who entered the competitions. We look forward to next year’s entries.
