People’s Panel takes the next step towards final recommendations

The People’s Panel came back together in person for Day 4 on Saturday 23 May, at the Door of Hope in Launceston, continuing an important journey that has brought together diverse community voices to help shape the future of our business.
Over the past few months, Panel members have been building their understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the network through presentations, discussions and conversations with subject matter experts from across the business.
Day 4 marked an exciting turning point in the process, with the Panel beginning to translate everything they have learned into draft recommendations for the business. Working together in groups, Panellists focused on identifying practical and balanced ideas that reflect both customer expectations and the long-term needs of the network.
Our Subject Matter Experts were once again on hand throughout the session to provide guidance and answer questions from the Panel as they refined their thinking.
The business is now preparing a response to the first draft recommendations, helping to continue the open and constructive dialogue that has been a key feature of the process so far.
As part of the next stage, representatives from the People’s Panel will also meet with the Stakeholder and Customer Advisory Groups to share the draft recommendations and gather additional feedback and insights from these groups.
The Panel will reconvene on 13 June to consider the feedback received from both the business and the Advisory Groups before refining and finalising their recommendations.
The final recommendations will then be formally presented to the business, representing months of learning, collaboration and community-led discussion aimed at helping shape future decision-making.
