We've established a number of representative groups to ensure we understand the changing views of our customers, stakeholders and the Tasmanian community. We work with these groups on a regular and ongoing basis with the aim of incorporating their views into our business planning and decision making wherever possible.

Reset Advisory Committee

Formed in September 2021, the Reset Advisory Committee (RAC) was established to provide in-depth expertise and input into our Proposals for the 2024-29 regulatory period. Committee members are appointed according to their skills and experience in energy, utilities, social research, future technologies, economics, sustainability, governance and policy, and corporate strategy. The key objective of the group is to support TasNetworks in producing Proposals that balance the needs of our customers, owners, and the Australian Energy Regulator. Learn more here...

Customer Council

Our Customer Council was established in 2015 and is made up of Tasmanian customers and consumer representatives. This important group allows us to have an ongoing conversation about issues of interest to you (our customer), like price, reliability and safety of electricity, the costs and benefits of possible projects, and the environmental impacts of our business. Policy and Regulatory Working Group

The Policy and Regulatory Working Group (PRWG) contributes to the direction of energy Regulatory, Policy and Pricing outcomes and reform in Tasmania. Formed in 2014, the group has provided important advice on customer needs and issues in respect to our Pricing Strategy and how we plan to reform the way we price our services. Through our engagement activities to-date we have sought feedback and input on a wide range of pricing matters, including tariff design, transition paths for tariff reform, and the potential customer needs for new network tariffs.

TasNetworks Generators' Forum

The Generators' Forum provides the opportunity for TasNetworks and large Tasmanian generators to engage with each other in relation to future developments affecting the Tasmanian power system, including energy policy and regulatory frameworks affecting system development. The forum is intended to support efficient customer outcomes through efficient development of the transmission network and Tasmanian power system.
