This resource hub is designed to provide easy access to key materials and information for TasNetworks' Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG). The hub is for group members and anyone interested in the work of the SAG. If you'd like to stay across the latest SAG activities, subscribe to this page (to the right). You can also register to receive our stakeholder newsletter here and see what our other engagement groups are doing here.
What is the Stakeholder Advisory Group?
TasNetworks' Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) is a representative body of 18 professionals and an Independent Chair who are passionate about the future of energy for Tasmanians. The purpose of the group is to:
provide the collective perspectives of given communities, membership groups and/or organisations on strategic and operational energy issues in the best interests of TasNetworks' customers and/or Tasmanian electricity users
help ensure TasNetworks places the evolving needs and expectations of its customers and stakeholders at the centre of business decision making.
Formally created in July 2024 via a competitive recruitment process, the group includes representatives from key sections of TasNetworks' customer base and the broader energy supply chain - including small businesses, major industry/manufacturers, vulnerable customers, electricity generators, electricity retailers, local government, sustainability, property development, and primary producers.
The group will meet at least four times a year to assess and deliberate over issues, projects and investments relating to the renewable energy transition, corporate strategy, regulatory proposals, policies, services, and customer tariffs and pricing (among others).
The SAG is one of five active engagement groups in TasNetworks' engagement framework. These groups are a core part of our overall engagement program and critical to building our understanding of what customers value now and into the future.

Amy is a seasoned engagement and communications professional with over a decade of energy sector knowledge and experience – her roles spanning retail, distribution, transmission, customer and community advocacy and innovation – both in Tasmania and nationally.
An adept facilitator, Amy said her “…passion for working with the energy sector is driven by a fundamental belief that essential services have an impact far beyond energy outcomes... whether it’s acknowledged or not, those impacts extend to the health, safety, and financial wellbeing of all energy users.
“As Chair of the Stakeholder Advisory Group, I have a privileged opportunity to work with other likeminded stakeholders to help ensure TasNetworks’ impact on Tasmanian customers is a positive one.”
One of Amy’s first activities as Chair will see her join forces with Dr Cynthia Townley, newly appointed Customer Advisory Group (CAG) Chair, to tease out potential customer outcomes that will be used to build TasNetworks’ forward engagement program for 2025-29. It is anticipated Amy and Cynthia will work closely together to ensure alignment and knowledge-sharing between both groups, including the shaping of agendas, activities and group focus areas.
